Story:
I bought this bike quiet a while ago, from RB, from a kid in Melb. It looks like he used it for some DH racing and sold it to upgrade to something a bit better suited.
As a result its got some pretty good signs of wear and tear. The rear wheel was flogged (cracked and bent) which I didn't know until I got it. But the kid was a champ and gave me some $$$ back to cover a new rim.

Here's how it looked in the brochure:

Mine looked like this:

I swapped out the front wheel to get it up and going:

I rode this for a while in this configuration.
Tried to take it for big jumps off little jumps:

Fell off it: (skip to 2:20 for the interesting stuff)

It wasn't until I bought a more gravity orientated frame that this changed.
I stole a fair few parts off this to get get my Blindside up and running (http://www.rotorburn.com/forums/showthread.php?288985-Transition-BlindSide)

So since then it was been sitting as a frame in the garage needing some love.
As parts for the Blindside rolled it, it freed up the parts to rebuild the Range.
This last weekend it finally saw it get rebuilt.

Rebuild time !

It was suggested that this was used as some mechanism to jump start the car, but no, I'd just changed the battery...

After stealing the Fork for the Blindside I needed a new fork.
While I was open to pretty much anything an older TALAS turned up at a great price (thanks RB community) Now plasti dipped red.
My 9sp drive train was gone, but my wife generously let me use her 2nd hand 10sp Zee set up if I bought her replacements.
I didnt realise the High Rollers i was running were DH specific ones that came in at 1.2kg each. They have been replaced with 'regular' ones at 800g each

Next things that need attention are the brakes and rear shock...

But here she is as of today:

She had her 1st shake down run at Wylde on sunday and it was great to be back on this bike after a long break.

Is that the right length shock for that frame?

It looks very big and the head angle appears quite steep. Could just be deceptive because its a coil shock though.

^ I dont think so.
The shock that is in there is 8.75" eye to eye (2.75" stroke)
And while Norco dont publish that info, and havent responded to my enquiries I believe it is meant to be 8.5"x2.5"

It's one of those things I'd like to get sorted out.

Thanks buddy.
I dont know why Norco can't make this info available to the average punter :)

Now i've just gotta keep an eye out in the FS section for one
