How hard is Roto on wheels mate? Heading over in a few weeks. Wondering if Arch Ex will hold up or have some WTB Freq I23's but have to rebuild my front wheel I tacoed a week ago. The 1501's are pretty light aren't they?

Mango looks good Hayden great race pics as always!
Cheers mate, thank Element photo video for that one, they kill it for all the QLD Enduro stuff

There is 0 rocks so the only way you'll do damage is from impacts through jumping and the likes. Mine would have lasted but I crashed into a buddy in front of me on a trail and when our bikes hit his flat pedal took out a few spokes among other things. The XR1501's are light yeah, only like 22mm width.

The Arch EX will hold up about as well as the stock DT Swiss wheels on this Trance; Arch are 21mm wide and the DTS are 22.5 from memory. The Arch do have triple box section so they do make up a bit extra stiffness and strength. As mentioned at Roto if you are going to break a wheel it is likely from casing a jump, a hard g out, or copping spoke damage.

cheers. The frequencys are 23mm internal but bit heavier. Archs were built by a RB member and been indestructile. Not sure id notice 2mm extra width.
Nice bike mate. I just put the 160mm airshaft in my pikes on the trance. Next will be a reign or spitfire I think.

How long is the warranty valid? Got the same bike but can't find my warranty info. Guessing I can't claim a rock to the stanchion under warranty

Ah nice, I came of a trance too. The difference between the two is surprisingly large

No idea man, LBS sorted me out... but yeah I doubt it for that

Race season is back in full swing, having a blast as always. EMS do a great job with the SEQ series that's for sure.
Also got one of those new Maxxis Aggressor tyres, big fan. Check one out if you ride hardpack or loose over hard.

Have you ever found the saddle get in the way at that height when your swinging off the back in the steeps?

On the rare occasion it does yeah. Although to be honest if I could I would run it slightly higher; the current position is a 50/50 compromise between the two. My next post will ideally be a 170mm Reverb.
