2025 World Cup Downhill / EDR

@Dozer & @Stredda he's getting looked after well by Santa Cruz and SRAM directly - via the downtime podcast he did.

Interesting to see different models of support. When you look through the results table it's weird to see how many people are not on factory/official teams. Booker, Rudeau both in top 3 without 'official' team sponsorship. Looks like only around 20 of the 100 listed riders have an official team they are riding for.

There was some talk in the Pinkbike/Vital comments that a lot of racers are actually on teams but rather than pay the UCI $10K Euro to officially be a 'team' they have found a workaround - it just means their sponsors are not listed

Yup...

piss poor effort made by the Australian system namely Auscycling / the ashes of MTBA. They have done and are doing fuck all for racing in Australia
My local club has switched tracks - for our club racing now you just need some coverage i.e. Bicycle Network etc. It has saved us a significant amount of money. Hopefully more events do something similar and Auscycling can die an insignificant death

Are you sure?
I'm not sure if they would be covered.

It would be nice if there was an alternative to AusCycling or at least some competition. Because for the masses they are really just an insurance company. So unless you are racing at a national, international level or going to the Olympics, they don't do much at all.

I got this emailed to me last year. Seems Bicycle Network are trying to increase their offering.
