6 Week Weightloss/Fitness Challenge

Little bit.
Alright.

Basically 6 weeks to lose as much weight/gain as much muscle as possible. If anyone wants to join let me know and keep us updated. Figured this could help motivate some of us. I'm not quite sure if you guys know but I managed to lose like almost 50kg and was down to like 74kg odd however due to general lazyness and bad eating I managed to put on 9 odd kg on. I started getting back into it however I had to have some minor surgery, so I had to stop exercise for 5 weeks (FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU) But I renewed my gym membership and plan on going 6 days a week and slugging it out. So I welcome you all to come and relinquish the fork and do some exercise.

i'll join - not for weightloss - i'm already 78kg and right where i want to be, i want to gain muscle and improve endurance as well as technical riding ability.

thus:
i aim to visit the gym twice a week and go for three rides of at least half an hour a week. Bike build will be finished by next week, so none during first week.

goal:
able to curl 50kg, press 100kg, 100 pushups and 50 weighted situps, and learn three new tricks o nthe bike.

current:
curl 35kg, press 70kg, 70 pushups and 36 weighted situps, shit all tricks on the bike :p

I just started P90x, so good timing. It's going to be pretty hard to find the energy whilst on shift work, but I need to be buff in around 80 days, so count me in.

Might as well.

Current weight: 72
Goal weight: 78-80.

Need to put on some muscle. Then again my weight hasn't really changed over the past year and a half. :eek:

Maybe transformation should be the goal not weight loss. And before and after photo's apply.

I'll do sort of an inverse.

I've been at my target weight for a while now, with little effort, but that had to do in a large part of the amount of cycling I do each day (~250km a week). I'm now injured and can't ride for about 6 weeks. I've also relaxed my diet so I'm not calorie counting, but not going nuts with the junk food or other big calorie stuff either. So I'll report my weight each week to see how much I gain from a relaxed "diet" and no exercise.

I was 72kg at the start. More to follow...

I needed this thread, like others I don't want/need to lose any serious weight (maybe just a little off my stomach) but I want to gain some muscle.

Yeah I think I need to do this. About 10 months ago I was in the best shape of my life. Some situational changes and I slacked off hardcore. Now Im literally the fattest I've ever been, and I can do about half the weight I was doing before.

Plan on going Gym 3 times a week - doing a program of compound lifts, and run/ride at least twice a week, minimum 30 mins each time. Time is sorely short right now so thats about as much as I realistically think I can devote.

Week 1 - 190 lbs

I don't really care about fat loss at the moment, but over the next 6 weeks I'll set myself some strength goals, as following:
I'm currently sitting on 70kg, up from 64kg when I started the program a couple of months back.

Goals (Working sets of 5):
Squat - 80kg
Bench Press - 55kg
Overhead press - 45kg
Deadlift - 100kg
A set of 8 chinups from dead hang, and 5 pullups from dead hang.

I'm in as well.

My weight has gone from 102kg to 81kg over the last 3 months and I have another 7kg to go to get to my goal weight.

Age = 33
Height = 183cm

Hoping to do it in 6 weeks.

Orrright.
Changing jobs next month will hopefully give me more time to ride and less time flogging my body - a big reason why I don't do much anymore, too tired from being on my feet all day.
Starting at 92kg, don't plan on anything drastic.
Will change my diet slightly as I've already made small improvements. Not drinking too much lately which is a bit boring but helps the fitness. Only exercise done will come from cycling.
If I get to 85kg by summer I'll be happy. Optimistic given my motivation though :rolleyes:

This thread is just what I need to keep me going on my current diet/ exercise regime. I have been going for about a month and a bit now mainly consisting of jogging almost every night (2.8km) working out in the mornings (2 reps of 30 sit ups, dumbell/bar workout (only light weights)
Eating well, no sugar (unless it's natural), try and keep the carbs down (bread is my biggest weakness) no fatty fried foods, vitamins, all that jazz. So far I have gone from 91kgs to 86kg
Height - 179 cm.
Age - 15, almost 16.
Weight - 86kg.
Goal - 70-75kg.
I'll start from next Monday so I can keep on track if that's o.k.

Hey you guys and gals would you mind posting your height and age as well.... ? From a 52yo who has lost 4kg in last 6mths but who feels so much fitter from regular exercising on the mtb and being careful with what goes down the oesophagus... (6'1" 185cm/now 80kg)
