hey all,
i was just wondering if 66ers could be taken down to about 120 or so mm by marzzochi, or is there like a special kit that is for sale to have this done?

why not just buy a 120mm fork? Would make more sense, and be lighter.

So buy them, sell the 66's and get a smaller travel SC fork. Simple.

It can be done, but you'll need new springs. or Custom made springs.

Why do you want to take them down anyway?

and1 is right. If you wnat 120 mm of travel then get a fork designed for it or you'll be carrying way more weight than you need for that amount of travel.

Then again, they are for less than $800...

Like everyone else has mentioned, they are quite a heavy sc fork, and wouldn't be my pick for anything that requires less travel (dj, street, park, trail etc).

If you don't mind about the weight for some reason, then sure go for it, but I think the smartest option would be to buy it and sell it off like and1 mentioned - either that or use it for it's intended purpose - fr/dh.

that would be rad, a mate and i were talking about the same thing a while ago. aparrently he saw some cut down to 100mm somewhere on the net. you wouldnt have to worry about your forks ever again! they would be bomb-proof...
