Hey lads i am just about to put a set of Marzocchi 66 rc2x on my 09 DB compression just wondering if anyone thinks this would be to much travel for a HT. The bike comes stock with 55R forks which have 160mm of travel the 66 have 170mm i really don't feel as though i will have any problems but just wanted to get some feed back, trying to build my HT up to DH & FR specs till i get a dually frame. Cheers Tuck

The biggest issue going about these days is people putting long travel singles, or even dual crowns, on a bike completly unsuitable for it (Read: Giant STP). The other issue to contend with is the reality that you have no 'squish', bar your legs, up the back end to even things out. While your bike sounds like a suitable frame, people will probably pick on you for the last part. I say do it. Those forks are schweet ;)

That what i have sought of been thinking. though these forks are currently lowered to 125mm, so i may just see how they go with the lower travel setup first. Cheers
