i too purchased a command seat post and im told that u could spend $2000 in componet upgrades to your bike but nothing would come
close to an upgrade as a command seat post (adjustable seat post ) would...:clap2:

I think you will like it even more as time goes by, the cable can be upgraded by fitting an xtr v brake elbow and running xtr shifter cable, this has made it sooo much better to use, the 3 positions are near perfect for me!

This looks excellent - it's really the only thing I could fault my KS on, weight and cable position.

Is anyone else finding that their KS trigger gets almost impossibly stiff during a muddy ride? I'm not sure if it's mud getting in under the seat, into the trigger, into the cable or both. A quick wash recitified it before I got a chance to investigate.

I've always wondered why the cable on previous posts had not been put on the bit that doesn't move. Good to see this one has done it!

Also, anyone seen the new reverb that only fits a few frames atm, the cable comes out the bottom of the post and stays hidden inside the frame. Awesome!

... and just for the record, I've got the orignal reverb. Couldn't live without it now. Best bike invention in a long long time.

I've joined the club and bought an adjustable post for my reignx.

The Torpedo 7 post, at $119 you can't go wrong. So far i'm happier than a pig in anything.

The lever isn't a problem at all, at 5'7 three inch's travel is perfect and no play what so ever. Life has become so much easier, it's only 1 month old so time will tell but i'll keep you updated on it's progress!

i picked up a Reverb, e-bay, a few weeks ago, riden it a few times
wasn't really that convinced i needed one but thought i'd give it a try
seems to be going ok, have been making a effort to use it as often as possible

i've set my post higher than i usually would, then just knock it down a bit for most riding

300g weight penalty over a Thomson is a bit hard to swallow but the extra leg strong you can get on climbs seems to make up for it

happy with it so far

like everyone says it makes a huge difference to your riding. I find i put the seat down going into any descent longer than 50m and also drop it for technical trail obstacles too. Just gives you that extra bit of confidence that the saddle is out of the way and you can move more freelly around the bike (and off the bike if you need to eject)

I picked up a Joplin4 from Trailmix about 2 months ago - they still have them listed for $209. Since then I've converted it from lever to remote and I find it far more useful/convenient. I wouldn't go back to a std post.
One thing I've found with the Joplin 4 is after the bike is left upside down it turns into a pogo stick until the shock fluid returns to the right chamber, nothing major but I've seen negative reports about this and riders thinking that the post is ruined - not the case and it's easy to re-set by depressing the post fully with the lever depressed. Mines got no play at all and is rock solid at any height.

How'd you end up mounting the remote?

I have mine set up with the matchmaker. Not too sure of it being up on top. Looks a little vulnerable, plus it doesn't seem as instinctive to use at the moment.

As cool as this idea is ... this is aimed at the OE side of the market right or maybe those few bikes with uninterrupted seat stays. or would I need to get my dremel out.

I really do love Eurobike time.

no matchmaker
i set it on top of the bars but as you say, looked a bit wrong
flipped it over so it sits under the bars, the button is still easy to get to and only comes above the bar by a few mill

will take a pick....... at some point......

I thought it looked pretty good, didnt look out of place to me, i think the longer its on there the more used to it you will become!, now to work on Joey for the dropper post, i fear this one has strong resisitance to the force!
