I got a bike work stand from Aldi a few weeks ago, reduced to $9.99. Couldn't believe it, and she works like a charm too!

They say these are 6000 lumens yet they are using LEDs that can only be driven to about 10 w and only produce a bit over 100 lumens/watt at low power and the harder you drive them the less efficient they become. Someone is telling porkies.
Yeah, yeah tell me something I don't know :hand:. They're about 1500 lumen on high and about 1000 lumen in mid. But even with the cheap ass battery they're good for about 2.5hrs on mid and cheap as hell.

Work for me too. I just picked up a gopro tripod mount off eBay for $1, bought some M4 bolts from Binnings for $3 and voila, instant helmet mounted solar storm.

I'm actually heading to Bunnings this afternoon to pick up the same or similar bolts to recreate the setup that Chops had in the lights megathread. Being a bolt-noob I have some dumb questions:

I have to get a bolt that holds the light onto the arm of the gopro mount - the one that comes with the light is way too short,
I have to get a bolt (and possibly a nut as well, however the mount I have seems to have a nut kind of built into however it is a capped nut of sorts, meaning that the bolt has to be a pretty exact length) that holds the gopro mount arm onto the gopro mount base/clip.

I figure I just take the setup into Bunnings and fiddle about. The problem is that most bolts and screws are in packets that can't be opened for testing sized and whatnot. You mentioned M4, is your setup the same as this and for exactly which part was the M4 bolt for?

Brought 2 pairs of the shorts yesterday , ive brought them before and have mainly only used the knicks which ive found to be good value

these shorts i might even use them , much longer and looser , so should fit over knee pads well

I grabbed a couple of pairs of the gloves yesterday as well as a pair of shorts. For $12 they seem great, they feel better than some of the $30+ pairs I've had recently.

Yeh I bought 2 pairs as well and tested one out yesterday. They fit and feel good. The stitching is not the best and the side pocket is more around back of the leg which I find weird. I bought mine for the knicks as well which are a mesh material and a little loose at the bottom but still feel really comfy.

Went early yesterday but shipping delays meant they were not out on the shelves at Queenbean yesterday. Then I forgot this morning and about an hour ago went "oh shit" and ran up. Nabbed the last pair of medium shorts - phew! The last two years of shorts are still in great condition though, so I'm set. Got some nicks for the roadies and a jerseys as well.

Gloves look really nice, sized large though. I have pretty small hands for a bloke, but i usually get medium. Small this time at Aldi. Really nice looking design, seem a lot better made than Fox!!
