All my Aliexpress MTB purchases reviewed.

Arrived today. Shipping time is impressive!
They are a little on the small side but they do fit.
An XXL would have been ideal but for $22 for 2 pair , I'm calling this a score 👍🙂
I usually get large gloves. What would you recommend with these?

Just got this Dt Swiss 350 hub. Yep it's the real deal. Did come just wrapped in bubble plastic. $200

Very impressed with the shipping timelines for AliEx at the moment! Two weeks in a row I've ordered on a Thursday, and it's arrived tuesday.

Was building up my Ripmo V2S warranty replacement, and figured I'd go with some M7120 4-pot brakes. They've been here for ages, but I read on the internet that they're MMX compatible... Sweet I thought, no need to an adapter for my shifter & dropper lever... Ha, if you have a thumb the size of your forearm, maybe!

So ordered a couple of ZTTO Ispec EV to MMX mounts, at $6 each, much easier to stomach the $80 for a single Wolftooth one!

Also have tried my luck on a Granite Design Stash RCX from Ali... It wasn't all that cheap at around $50, so maybe it's actually legit. Looks and feels like it, but don't have an OG to compare to, so you may see me in the COFW when it lets go!

EDIT: 100% Chinesium. Crap Bolts, Crap Sleeve. Full details appropriately confessed: https://www.rotorburn.com/forums/index.php?threads/confessions-from-the-fuckwits.257029/post-3620383

Plus a bunch of Nitrile gloves as my TCG Orange Rocket box ran dry. These are definitely single use only, the TCG you could, if you could be bothered, reverse, dry ann then reuse, but I basically never did that anyway, so these are a good option.

I got sick of swapping my Shimano M8120 between my Ebike and trail bike each time I wanted to go for a ride. It got so bad I would sometimes just take which bike the pedals was on rather than be bothered to swap them over. So I was watching these M8020 on Aliexpress and they dropped the price from $79 down to $59 today. Ok there the older style Shimano but at $140 for M8120. I'll put up with em.

What's the general vibe on shimano branded products, real deal or nah? xt pedals for $60 seem really good value. The XTRs I've seen go for just over a hundred though.

If your refering to my post those M8020 pedals I got were discontinued years ago by Shimano. i think some business in China somehow pick up these discountined stock/products from Taiwan or who knows where.

Why would they copy a old discontined pedal. Why wouldn't they copy a Shimano M8120 pedal.

The LG-400 11spd cassette I got was old discountined stock( ie the old heavy one. Shimano upgraded to a far lighter cassette. That's cool rather the heavy beefer one)That's the real deal.

I would not buy a Shimano chain on Aliexpress.

Thanks ordered. I don't even need pedals.

All the stuff I've got has been real but I'm less certain now since 007bikeshop or whatever he was called has disappeared

Yes I tried it. It actually works quite well. Has a thing on the nozzle where it stops air loss when you unscrew from the shock/fork. Is very accurate. See how long it lasts but at $20 if it last a year I'm still way in front of those other $80 + digital pumps
Out of curiosity how do you know it's accurate?

I've got a few things coming from our Chinese overlords at the moment, and have purchased a few recently.
These are great, and cheap enough that I don't care if I only get 6 months out of them, this is my 4th set across different bikes
Cheap frame stickers, quite good quality and very sticky
No so sure about this, but wanted to fit Next SL cranks instead of XTR to see what they were like. Only a couple of hundred Kms on them but seem ok. No sleeve between them though so they'll fuck out pretty quickly with some debris in there
These are shit, lenses are too curved and distort vision. I got these for my son to wear because his fake Pit Vipers were borked
Genuine cranks, free shipping. Not much cheaper than the locals though
These are remarkably good. I don't ride on the road much at night but for a few hundred meters it's fine. Lasts for ages but the clamp did need some Loctite to make it stay in place. USB charge is nice

Got one of these on order

Yet to try these but look ok

Thanks @komdotkom you've inspired me to review some of the shit I've bought (that I've used so far) -

COOSPO CS500 GPS Bike Computer
An absolute bargain! GPS works well, can also configure the screens to show climbing gradients and elevation etc. A bit hard to read sometimes because my eyes are shit - I wish they had a high contrast option. Battery is good and charges via USB-C.

COOSPO HW9 Armband Heart Rate Monitor
I paid a bit less for mine but it works really well and I prefer an arm band over a chest strap

Bike Valve Cores
They work as advertised

ZTTO MTB Dropper Seat Post Lever
As we all know the hype is real, these are brilliant :)

ZTTO Bicycle Allen Key 4mm 5mm 6mm Screw Wrench Long Arm
Not bad but the 5mm key isn't actually 5mm (more like 5.2mm, no vernier calipers to verify.. how much are they on Ali..)

Rhinowalk Bike Handlebar Bag 2.4L
Decent quality handlebar bag for the gravel bike. Zip is working fine, held a fair amount of crap across a variety of rough and smooth surfaces.

BSCOBBER Mini Portable Electric Pump
Another excellent purchase - has pumped up bike tyres and pool toys.

ThinkRider Bicycle Bell
Total shit - they clamps break and the bell is held on with flimsy springs and glue. Avoid.

Expandable 22m garden water hose
This has been excellent with decent brass fittings. Owned for 6 months and left outside in Cairns weather. No signs of wear or deterioration.
