All my Aliexpress MTB purchases reviewed.

Ali X sends me this.... I can't think why it's on 'clearance' 🤔

Stumbled upon this and thought it might be good to add disc rear for my retro hardtail.
Muqzi disc brake adapter. $18.49
Also got a 160mm caliper mount $4.40

Fitted up well, seems secure and alignment seems spot on, but haven't finished for a ride yet.

Arrived in only 2 weeks from the Muqzi ali store.

They've been around for a while; the original ones were called an A2Z.

Skipping over 120+ pages but are any of the Ali budget has forks recommendable? Wife's Apollo hardtail has a RS Judy fork that's seizing up and has some rust (lack of use.) thought for the occasional trial riding that she does a basic Ali fork (110-120mm) would suffice.

It sounds like new bike day to me. Get her an eeb and she'll realise how much fun smashing you up hills it is and probably ride more often.

I still prefer doubles and triples .
In very up or down terrain, singles are much less efficient with 5- 8 gear changes instead of oneor two..
Also Shimano going assymetrical bolt spacing just to be arseholes ,grinds my gears.
Pure fuckwittery ,they will claim it is better , so why did they have it symmetrical for 50 years ?

They want people to buy all new stuff.

I always order multiple things from Aliexpress as I thought there would be less plastic>NO,
Stuff is cheap but every order has had something wrong.
The complaint process is deliberately much harder than the buying process and most people cant be bothered.

Aliexpress has a shitty system where they put multiple things on the one advert. then you click on it , only the software seems to allow that to change and the seller sends the wrong one.
OMG the complaint process involves the first obstacle of dumbarses = the photo .
So I got 2 drink bottle holders when I ordered a tail bag stabiliser.
I am trying to explain that a photo of something that isnt there is quite difficult and just not worth it for $5.51.
FFS its easier just to pay the extra $15 and buy one on Aus ebay.

I have been very wary of specifically which item or variant I am ordering in those scenarios. Sometimes it seems glitchy , those times I start a new search or if I have been faffing with selections , I open the link in a new tab and faff less second time around!
Over the years I have had a handful of items arrive that weren't what I thought I ordered or I guessed wrong on sizing.
When its cheap stuff , it's easier to give it away to mates or the groms at the local trails. They love it haha.

I am an idiot and finally got caught out with a flat AXS battery today.
While the obvious answer is to remember to charge it, I was thinking it would be good to have a back-up in the car for the future just in case.
RRP on legit ones in around $125, but does anyone have any experience with the Aliexpress ones?
I'm aware the $20 aliexpress one may have a worse lifespan, but it would be for emergencies only so as long as it holds even a couple of hours of charge, I can live with that.

Transmission or not? Read that the Ali batteries won’t fit transmission due to limited space.

XO transmission.
As in the battery dimensions are larger than the legit SRAM ones? Aren't all AXS batteries the same size regardless of what system they mount to?

Wait for black friday and cyberpunk Monday sales. I got one for about $70 last year. I just use one till it's low and then swap with the other, so both get even wear.

Just a comment I had read that the Ali ones were slightly different. @teK-- suggestion is good to keep an eye on the sales.

my experience of emergency second batteries is that now you have it you will never use it so eventually you stop maintaining it and when you do need it next time its dead flat or sitting at home :)
