More likely to do more damage to the frame trying to pop the dint out; repeated stress is the enemy of aluminium. As suggested by others, keep a close eye on the welds; although heat treated as part of the manufacturing process to even out the heat stress from welding, there is a more stressed zone around the welds, and the ding may be close enough to impact in that compromised area. The other thing I'd normally suggest is to run a string line from one dropout, around the head tube to the same point on the opposite dropout, and measure from the side of the seat tube to the string line on each side to check for frame alignment, but given how close the ding is to the head tube, it's unlikely to have bent the frame out of whack.
