Another operation that awaits you if you surf too

I also have a referral for this. Lady who vacuumed the debris from my last ear infection said it was severe exotosis. I'll deal with the ringing for a little longer I think. Last thing I need is a script for strong painkillers.

Fuck you rotorburn. I came to look at pretty bikes and giggle a shitty banter. Didn''t need a reality check.

I've had a referral to a specialist for this sitting on my desk for a several months. I just can't bring myself to make the appointment. I think they want to remove my ear to get in there. I'm not up for that at all, I'd rather just go on with buckets of Otodex, asking everyone to repeat what they just said, and watching TV with subtitles.

@Slowman Any chance through the fog of old age you remember how your operation was done? Drill, chisel, ear removal?
Yes. My surgeon used both drill and chisel. The chisel they say requires great care so they don't break anything else but the drill does your hearing no good. The high frequency sound can also damage the ear drum and lead to industrial deafness too, it doesn't matter that you are asleep. So he minimised its use.

My ear was not removed but cut behind the ear and then peeled and laid over my head, allowing direct access into the ear passage.

When it comes to surgery, my approach is get it done as soon as possible and get back to getting on with your life without the problem as soon as you can. The longer you let it drag on for the more you degrade the quality of your living.

My hearing is back to normal and I don't remember the pain anymore.
