Then no, not good. This was my Alpine when I bought it. Dude tried 27.5. Just paint though.

This happened on a few of mine. It was from running chunky rear tyres, like minions.

I never saw it get bad enough to wear a whole in though!!! Just bump a bit of paint off. That's devastating @Lucaw !!! Maybe you need to run a 24 inch wheel? The original mullet!
