Any Zwifters out there?

I have a 'zwift cog' rear wheel trainer with a electronic button for shifting gears. Should the front be on the big cog or little cog, or it doesn't really matter?

Doesn't matter but big ring is generally smoother for chainline etc

We have a small well, shirty room with a zwift set up in it.... It's been a bit of a journey for the heap that the meat sack sits on and creates puddles of flop sweat..... The groupset, have, well lived their lives.... what are people running as gear on their swift sleds? Cheap and heavy, electronics???

Help appreciated.

A 15yr old Giant Defy with mech (obviously) 9 speed DuraAce. The bike cost me $175 around 10yrs ago.

The old hoods are starting to go sticky, so since this photo, I have taped up over them with bar tape, also upgraded the 32" TV to a 40".

TIP: If its a permanent trainer mounted bike, weld up a frame the same height as the wheel and weld a BMX steel axel to it and mount on a frame for better stability. In my case, it let the bike get closer to the screen.

I've got a repaired frame trek emonda.
Sensah 2x11 group set with no brakes.
I've upgraded my PC because I could but you can get away with an old office PC with 10yo graphics card.
Intel 4th gen or newer processor will sort you

4K settings are very nice though. Shadows, wind blowing leaves, spray from the waterfalls, snow flurries. Mine is run from my main PC in the next room, sound auto changes to the trainer as soon as the screen is turned on.

Graphics profile is set by your GPU so a 980 or 1080 will do 4k.
An old office surplus machine with an i5 is enough to do the compute bits for 60+ frames

I'm currently using my pub bike, a 15yo 6 speed alloy roadie. It's amazing how little it effects performance compared to when my good roadie is on there.

2013 trek domane with 16,000 kms still og everything (except tyres), kickr snap, a rusted old pos fan and a one of my kids old laptops that you can't look at it or it will just shut off

Slightly too small Polygon Strattos that I got during lockdown with the Zwift smart trainer the wife got me as a birthday present.
I cast Zwift from my phone to an old TV that sits on our shoe rack, and mount the phone on the handlbars with a $4 aliexpress mount. There's also an old pedestal fan to help with the sweating. #hightech

This is one for the full Zwift nerds but my ladder team will be shooting for the #1 world ranking in the next few weeks.
Can share the live stream link if requested.

Level 60 fast approaching. Just finished Watopia again after all the new route additions. France and Paris finished, working my way through Makuri Islands. Currently 19 of the 40 routes done.
Or do I do a bunch of climb portals to get my only remaining badge, legs of steel. Decisions haha.
