Item: Banshee Rune in XL.

Item Condition: Excellent.
Reason for selling: Switching to a brand that I do some work for.
Price and price conditions: $2800.
Extra Info: Please note the frame has a crack in the front triangle - pic included on the next page.

This was for sale a few months ago but its back up. Since then I have ridden it 3 times but replaced a bunch of parts with brand new.

  • Brake rotors
  • Chain
  • Gear/dropper inner and outer
  • Dropper post (was very lightly used)
All the consumable parts (brake pads, grips, drivetrain, bearings etc) have always been replaced before it was needed to keep it running quiet and smooth.

Spec is as follows:
  • Frame: XL Banshee Rune (slightly shorter reach at 495mm, midway between a L and XL in most brands).
  • Suspension: Rockshox Zeb Ultimate Charger 2.1 RC2 170mm and a Fox X2 shock.
  • Wheels: Custom built DT Swiss 350 hubs to Stans Flow MK3 rims with Double-Butted Sapim spokes. Built by myself and tensioned by Riley at Hardtail Havoc. Set up tubeless with EXO casing Minions. 36t ratchet upgrade in the rear hub.
  • Brakes: Shimano XT M8120 brakes with metallic pads. 203mm rear and 220mm front rotor.
  • Drivetrain: 12 speed Shimano XT M8100 derailleur, shifter, chain, and 165mm cranks. 10-51t SLX cassette.
  • Other: Renthal 40mm rise bars, 40mm stem, Cane Creek 0 stack headset, 200mm dropper post with Shimano lever. Comes with Burgtec lock on grips not Renthal ones pictured.

The only thing stopping me from snapping this up is a sick mother in law back in the UK. Surely the wife won't mind if I spend her emergency flight funds?

Putting the sale for this on hold for now as I haven't had any interest - would rather keep riding it than lower the price any further. Also my replacement has been delayed.

Sure was! I headed out in the arvo for a few laps with some mates (one on a red nomad and one on a blue nomad) - we were also riding with a few of their workmates. I thought I saw a Forbidden that I recognised from on here (and a red Specialized Enduro too?).

Nice! Yeah mate and I were eyeing off the Nomads - was the red one the latest one with Zebs on it? Awesome colour if so, looked insane. I should've come up and said hello but I wasn't quite sure it was your bike and felt things could get pretty weird pretty quickly if it wasn't..

I was on the Forbidden, was riding pretty badly yesterday but still had heaps of fun. Best mate has the crazy S Works. Had a kid come over to say how much he liked my bike and asked how much air I was getting on all the jumps down track 2. Looked pretty disappointed when I told him the truth :D

Hahah, come over next time for sure!

Yeah, he had the one with Zebs on it - it was his third ride on it but he's absolutely loving it. I'm very jealous. We're gonna go up and have a ride then watch our other mate (the guy who was on the blue nomad) race up there next weekend.
