This is probably no use unless you're @link1896 and fork crown steerer stanchion curious, and I think he's already got one but bloody cheap for a workshop press.
Just not sure how I will explain it when the package arrives at the door and the wife is working from home.

I am past curious. I'm keen to upgrade mine to air actuated, need both hands. Will add a pressure gauge too, once you remove the mechanical process there will be zero feedback.

That's pretty cheap, there's a douche on marketplace over here trying to sell broken ones for that price!

Mr Greenfield
Thanks.

My health is finally back where it needs to be, I’m close to being ready to trade, but I’m limited to 20 minutes of sitting per day thanks to the diverticulitis, so cars/PT is out for me. Plus having a high needs family, my partner is 50% of the time stuck using a wheelchair due to fibromyalgia, and both of her kids have ASD/ADHD/OCD, so working from home is a must for me, we are looking to move to somewhere around the Eltham to Hurstbridge area to be on the train line so kids can get the train back to their dad in Northcote somewhere in the future when they are not so needy.

Astroboyracers business is geocked to Collingwood, not a viable option for me, and I’m looking to specialise into a few narrower segments.

I’m going to be focusing on ebike repairs and suspension, and bike tool manufacturing, with a side of carbon frame repair.

First tool up will be a post mount disc brake facing tool that doesn’t suck or cost a kings ransom, the Var Tools kit is 900 euros.

I’ll be interested to see if this sells. Not sure what stock he’s holding and the value of it but I’m always interested to see what value people put on a ‘business’ which boils down mostly to a name and reputation. I know Brad tried to sell Tekin before he got out and that didnt attract any buyers.

Good luck to Astro. He’s been around a long time and could be a good business for someone to pick up and run with.

@link1896 tongue in cheek tag originally obviously but sorry to hear things are complicated. looking forward to seeing you up and running.

Yeah it’s hard, goodwill in brand name and client base is valuable but for a small appointment-only workshop that’s going to be less transferable as you say. Would have to know how long the lease is on the building at what $$, stock as you say etc to know if it’s worth what he’s asking. Probably not a bargain buy aha but seemed a good enough place to post it. Hopefully it does sell and continues.

Its a hard one. A lot of loyal customers associate the business by the vibe and service they get from the current owner. The goodwill perceived value in a lot of business sales, ends when the current owner leaves.

Hope he comes to an agreement with somebody.

Yeah... hence "...but for a small appointment-only workshop that’s going to be less transferable"

I had started a dialog with Bradley at the time, he wanted what I thought was an unrealistic amount for the business, he never got back to me, and then disappeared off the face of the earth.
