I've upgraded one of my SIDs with the debonair seal head. Its not like the Pike upgrade as it does not change the neg air spring volume. To be honest I couldn't tell the difference on my 120mm fork. Good info, I assumed it would improve the initial breakaway performance like the Pike upgrade.

Depends on what you buy. There's a lot of expensive shit bought by people just because. Just look at FB and all the "mint condition" 6K bikes that are upgraded after 3 months. MTBing isn't a poor man's sport anymore.
