bashgaurd thingy HELP

Hey guys, my bike a Trek Bruiser 2 has a 38 tooth chain ring up the front. Everytime i try to hop up something and fail i always bend it. What can u sujest i do? Are there any sorts of chain gaurds, and how much do they cost?

bash guards are about $40 to $60 but you can make one up pretty easily too, any bike shop should be able to hook you up. or you could just get better at hopping stuff

Hey Peachy, I've been using a 38 tooth for ages with a Black Spire Ring God. It has taken a beating and never bent a ring.
