I am after another crank holder simple metal tray bike rack that holds 2 bikes side by side horizontally.
25 years ago I made one it has been used 1000s of times , I did see a commercial version .

Plenty of old Gripsport ones floating around now that everyone is going upright.

Reminder that the rack is only as good as the weakest point on the weekend. A mate was driving up to meet us in Bright. Got the call that the rack had failed 30mins out. Turns out his 600kg hitch was fairly poorly made and snapped / bent. He had an upright rack but was only carrying 3 bikes. A look at the hitch showed that some of the welds were only on one side and pretty poor quality to boot. No damage to bikes or rack thankfully. Annoying for him tho as I now have two of his bikes in my shed - one his brand new MTB that wasn't going to fit in his smallish car. Lucky I had both my roof racks and upright carrier for the trip. Not a great weekend for him as he also binned fairly hard on his first run down Hero trail with a full day of shuttles booked.

The 24" on the end sits a bit awkwardly, the top of the stem sits right on the next bikes brake lever and the rear wheel dangles in the air. Nothing a occy strap wouldn't fix, and in two weeks time it will be irrelevant anyway.

As I was assembling it I was thinking the rear wheels would be a bit close to the ground. But I was wrong, there's plenty of clearance, and there will be even more on Mrs George's Colorado.

Is that a TF rodeo?

I found that my wife bike will rub on my bike on the handlebars due to differences in geometry. I found that loading them on the opposite side to each other fixes that issue. It might be the case with yours (put the 24" on the LH side of the rack)

Yeah, longer/larger/slacker to smallest is the go. If you have 5 identical bikes, there could be a need for a bit of padding out.
I have a small number under each wheel hoop, 1 to 5 from left to right.

I give out the orders and my boys get them loaded, my bike in 1, yours 3 and his in 5. Numberplate on the middle bike.

I just chucked them on to show Mrs George and for a photo. In a couple weeks I'll have two 29s and two 27.5s to go on it, and for the majority of the time the other 29 won't be on it. I want to put two of the same size together so the number board sits straight.

Is that a TF rodeo?
That it is. Another thing waiting for attention.

To be fair, even meccano pieces are preformed.
