That looked pretty nifty until i saw its 30kgs... JesusBrother-in-law has a Yakima Stage 2 as the wheelbase on his Giga is enormous.
Great bike rack but a touch unwieldy as you said
I think I've mentioned it before, but its a half inch pin as opposed to the ⅝" that come with most tow hitches. Mitch (I assume) said he just bought a locking one off ebayThe ST rack has a very thin hitch pin that was supplied with it, also the stabiliser acts as security as it needs to be fully loosened to remove it.
If I get the 'some thieving cnut' feeling, I back my car against something and stealing the rack without stealing the car would be a miracle.I think I've mentioned it before, but its a half inch pin as opposed to the ⅝" that come with most tow hitches. Roughly how long are the feet and how wide apart are they please, thinking I might cobble something together from timber offcuts. She good with the weight, I've had 3 or 4 bikes on that rack while sitting in the garage.

Can measure exactly for you in the morning as I'm in on my last nightshift.Roughly how long are the feet and how wide apart are they please, thinking I might cobble something together from timber offcuts.
Sorry, got computer issues. Turned it on tonight to find it had downloaded a Windows Security update and gave me the dreaded Blue Screen Of Death.Cheers @ozzybmx
Are you going to store or put bikes on it ?After almost ending up in the fuckwits thread last week when the rack fell over in the garage and very nearly took out the car I finally pulled my finger out and made this with a bit of inspiration from @ozzybmx
How do you even weld that stuff? Are you going to store or put bikes on it ?
Theres a fair bit of leverage on the hitch.
