my pads have been pretty much soaked in fork oil from a broken seal so i thin ki may replace the pads

i fixed a pair of screwd pads/
i held them in the stove flame, then sanded the top layer of and used metho to clean them up.
they came out really nice.
u mightr as well try fixing them if u just gonna through them out anyway.

just remeber oil floats so when u remove the pads from the water to not get the oil back on the pads!!

ive been boiling hayes pads now for years, they ALWAYS come up good as new, if u have only accidentally spilt a drop or two of something on em , theyll be fine if u boil them , if they have been dunked in something chuck em, theyll neva be very good again.

i just put em in a saucepan, leave em boil for about 3-4 mins, and that should do it, take em out and wipe them with tissues
