Build it, and they will come!
I was thinking this 3 years ago when they started all the civil works out there..
Bike shop, Beer, Burritos.:flock::hungry:
yah, I figure a big chain will move in there when the retail stuff gets built. Buuut - that doesn't mean there's no room for anyone else. Different market. Dozer's post is a classic example - a shop to look after the triathlete types, and another which will be filled to the gunwales with normal bike lovin' folk. Hmm. maybe there's scope for a collaboration of rotorburnians...

"For the Rider" at the the Gabba in Brisbane.

In terms of niche market, these guys have nailed it. This place is impressive.

They do everything, but ONLY Mtb. Huge range of bikes and accessories, service techs, heaps of knowledge, and from my infrequent visits, they seem to be pretty happy to share the knowledge.

I get the feeling the ethos is that a nube asking stupid questions today, might be the guy who'll drop 6k on a new bike in 12 months.

NS dynamics specialising in suspension servicing are out the back and wait for... Beer on tap as well.
All covered!

It's definately not a start up business, there has obviously been a significant investment made, and not without risk. it does show that catering specifically for Mtb can work, if done properly.

Have a look at the store tour.

Love the shop, but they have outgrown their little shop culture, but they are the only ones in Brisbane doing what they do. I don't spend as much money as I used to, as I mainly dealt with Tim who is OS, but I can't see myself going anywhere else when it comes time to replace the Pivot...
