Camping at Wombat State Forest

I was wondering where the best camp spot is near the Wombat trails?
Toilets would be good as the girls are coming as well......

Firth Park is the best option

There are toilets and camping at Firth Park. It is 6.5km from firth park to the closest part of the wombat loop. The Loop is 16km (22 if you include the extra bits) so it could be a 35km round trip.If you want longer, there are heaps of fire roads and extra trails to explore.

I have made a google earth kml file if you want directions to the Wombat Loop from firth park. It can be converted into a gps file and followed if you have one.

Actually the best camping would be at the caravan park on Blckforest drive. Firth Park is the coldest bloody place thats full of moto dicks and 4x4 dicks in the world. But that just my view.

I wouldn't be as harsh as the previous poster but, yes, Firth Park does seem to attract the moto riders. Jim Beam director chairs anyone?

haha....yeah not real keen to be asked a thousand times where the motor is on my bike...that never gets old.
