Camping with riding

Anyone have any good tips on spots where you can camp near some worthwhile riding? I'm asking as I'm interested but I thought it would be useful to get a list of camping near trails and maybe some suggestions for activities for the non riders.

I'm thinking of doing a bit of a camping and riding late summer, possibly with the dogs and wife and/or other riders. I prefer rougher camping, a toilet and running water are nice luxuries.

The only suggestions I have right now are the state parks on the NSW Central Coast (Awaba, Ourimbah etc). Pretty sure there is camping in those state parks if not nearby.

Anyone have any other suggestions? I'm tempted to try to hit up some rides in the snowies with a bit of camping.

Just note that dogs can't go into National Parks which restricts the number of places you can go.

I forgot about Wingello, that looked like a good spot for riding and camping. Dog friendly too.

Not a bad idea. I've done enough self supported riding but didn't think to check that thread. I think I'm approaching 12 months of living off a bike adding up all the trips I've done.
