Can I use DT Swiss pro-lock nipples with PHR washers?

Bought some DT rims (EX511) for a build and they come with alloy pro head sqarx nipples and PHR washers. I want to use brass so I also bought some pro lock brass nipples (NOT pro head) and was wondering if I should use the washers or not??? The profile of the brass nipple is a little shallower than the alloy pro-head and I’m not sure it will sit as well in the curved washers.

Having said that - when I slide the washer on the brass nipple it still sits pretty well and seems like it would still do the same job of dispersing the force across a broader section of rim.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks!

Although I find washers a pain in the arse to build with, given they're supplied with the rim I'd use them, even with different nipples. The rim ERD also factors the washer thickness into the measurement when working out spokes.

Yes the washers will be fine. Pro-lock on the other hand is the work of the devil. Make sure to pre stress spokes lots and lots during the build.
