Converting Giant P-XC2 Hubs to 135 QR?

The F.I.L. is currently riding my spare hardtail but wants to swap to a dual suspension bike.
He is looking to get an anthem 29er like this: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/au/anthem-x-29er
The hard tail has better wheels on it though (Hope pro2 evo to Crests). Putting them onto the anthem is easy as the hope hub conversions are easy to come by.

Would like to therefore swap the giant wheels onto the hard tail to sell it, but it is 135QR.
Does anyone know if you can convert the giant hubs (Giant Performance Tracker Disc Hubs) from 142x12 down to 135QR? From some research it seems they are a formula hub, but no confirmation on if they can be converted.

Worst case i will just part out the hard tail to sell it.

Thanks in advance

Not sure if different model use the same hub? but I was able to convert my Giant P-XCRO rear wheel (29er) which had 135 qr to a 142 x 12.
From the info I was able to dig up, the model above uses a DT swiss hub. I was able to convert using the relevant DT swiss conversion kit.

Definitely should have gone to specsavers
You are correct Art, the P-XCR0 wheels have DT swiss hubs (or at least internals), but the P-XC2 wheelset is based on Formula hubs, which as far as I know can't be changed from one axle format to another - or being a predominantly OEM hub manufacturer, Formula don't make the necessary parts available to the general market.

Fortunately though, as Trailboy's link indiates, you can probably get a sleeve to convert the 12mm internal bore of the Formula hub to a 5mm QR, this is probably the one you'll need: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MTB-Tool...eel-Adapter-/252015969917?hash=item3aad52867d

I've got no idea if it will work Quency - report back if you pursue this and end up getting a conversion to work.

Thanks Nambra. Looks like that adaptor would resolve the axle issue, but not the width of the hub. looks to still be 142mm when I need 135mm :-/

Pretty sure most of the newer Giant hubs are convertible, but the older (2014-ish) ones weren't.
Cheers Duck.

I'd say it'll be a case of seeing what works when I actually have the wheels in front of me. Will report back once I have an answer
