Crank Removal Question.

Greetings. Need to remove a pair of Truvativ Descendant cranks off my stumpy, to grease the BB. I need a particular pinned tool to remove the cap over the 8mm hex bolt, as seen in pic. Any idea what this tool is called? Thanks!

Should just be self extracting. Cap is for crank bolt to push against.
That's what I'd anticipated, but it ain't budging so I'm assuming the cap may needto be removed separately.

The cap should be pretty loose if you stick a pin in it you should be able to unscrew it.

Edit. (Once the bolt has gone crack - you can lube up the cap and put it back as the bolt pushes on it to self extract).

I actually had to use an impact driver to get mine to move the other week - I could not get it to "Crack" (the sound they make when it finally lets go.

My (bike that shall not be mentioned) has praxis cranks that self extract and they were as tight as a nun's nasty to get off and on.
