Ok guys so with the up and coming downhill race we need to get the track back in proper race order.
We have organized a date for this and we will meet at the gazebo at the end of Harvey street on Saturday the 21st of April at 2 pm.
Bring proper working cloths and basic trail tools.

Hope to see you all there!!!
If im not there at 2 ill be coming from work but im sure someone will be there to get you started :)

Whats the track condition like now? Thinking of heading up on friday with a few guys.

RYDA, the track is pretty good in my opinion. It needs work to carry a race, but will definitely be fine to host a few blokes having fun for the day.

Matt, I can't make Saturdays unless they are early mornings (not sure if others are in the same boat), but always happy to help on a Sunday with some notice. Heads up, the iRide come and try day is the very next day too...not sure if that will effect turn out or not.

Its about bloody time. The top section is horrible, rutted and big nasty rocks everywhere which is really no fun at all to ride. And for crying out loud can we schedule more of these days, a couple maintenance days before the race then letting it fall into disrepair for the rest of the year really isn't good enough considering how much maintenance the XC trails get.

So will you be attending? The club and DH commitee always attempt to keep frenzy in good shape, but if the people interested in that discipline cant show up to maintain it, it doesnt get done that often. The XC trails have recieved a lot of work due to the fact we have not long ago completed the construction of Turkey. The XC commitee have orgainsed these maintenance days on these trails.

I road the DH trail on the weekend on a hardtail and it was overgrown in a few parts but felt it was in quite good nick.

I can sense Broken Bones frustration but the club is committed to maintaining all trails including the DH trail. At some of the trail maintenance days this year we have sent people up the DH track to weedeat the trail. If you believe the trail is not in the condition you would like it please outline the areas of concern and either PM Aussie Pete or post up your conerns. Aussie Pete is responsible for trail maintenance.

I might not be able to make it there due to prior arrangments but will promote the arv as much as possible, if there is anything else I can assist with please contact me and I will see what I can do.

I'd love to help out but alas, I dislocated/fractured my wrist on Sunday and will be in plaster for the next six weeks. Unless you guys need a supervisor I'll have to sit this one out.

The funny thing is I had my crash on the same section that young fella broke his wrist on at the last runs day. Hahaha

I don't know what track you have been riding but the top of Frenzy is mad at the moment. Little bit overgrown but the track itself is mint.

Also I will be attending.

I'm keen on lending a hand. What tools would you like us to bring? Shovels, rakes? I may be able to get my hands on a brushcutter but no garuntee.

I tried to shuffle my day tomorrow to fit some maintenance in but I just can't do it.
If you want the club brushcutters I have 2 of them and there is a third, if you want them give me a ring.
I will ring Graham(park ranger)this arv or first thing tomorrow to let him know there is a maintenance day on, if this has already been done let me know.

Sorry guys i've gotta cancel. A while ago i hurt my foot, and i thought it would have been better by now, but i managed to re-hurt it yesterday. However it doesn't look like i'll be able to race on the 6th, so ill be able to do canteen or something all day.

Rode turkey this morning top 5-6 turns need some brush cutting -will try and get down to do this before the demo day starts - unless any of the down hill guys were able to get to it - I assume they would have been busy on frenzy. Could someone do a report on what they were able to get done?
