Electric Vehicles etc

congrats, which one?

depends on.... several things. If it is a two port charger the output slows if two are plugged in. Battery temp, and charge level both have an effect too.
I have never had lower than the rated except under those circumstances using Chargefox, Evie and BP
Dual motor performance. I love that it has no dual motor badge or any tell tale signs, wheels even look the same, just bigger.

I looked up the charge curve, kinda forgot about thst not having driven an EV for a while.

Except those circumstances often occur ie charge level >80% ,battery is often warm due to discharge after driving and ambient temp and often there are 2 cars .

The plan with the Seal was to trade and upgrade at the end of the lease but it doesn't look to be a viable option.
I guess I will re lease for two years then pay it out?

Great car, 60,000kms in.Tyre wear is an issue, but always is with cars.
What tyres are you running. I've just put Michelin Primacy 5s on the Atto3 and they are a revelation compared to the Pirelli Scorpion Verdes I was running. They also apparently last about 30% longer.

I've heard the same sort of feedback for Pilot Sport 5s.

Can recommend PS5s. I put 60k on a set on the WRX and only had to replace them because of inside edge camber wear. Lasted amazingly well.

Charing anxiety be gone. 22kw charger installed. Car only does 11kw max on AC but future proofing. Was a bumpy start as charger not talking to car but installer got their semi retired electrical engineer onto it and sorted it out. Car charging at 9.8kw so given some loss for conversion I’m happy with that.

Charging anxiety goes. 2 years in and it's ll good. Still waiting for my new wattpilot to be installed.

BTW tyres ain't cheap
Yikes! Didn't Michelin have a black Friday sale recently? With some cash back or something.

Finally I can say that the Victorian charging network is getting better in terms of reliability and density of charging places.
At one stage during late Covid about 40% were out of action.
in addition some are very simple just a RFID card or Credit card { Tesla for general public }.
Apps may fail due to poor phone or internet reception .
Unfortunately where we live has the worst charger I have seen and it uses Exploren app.
You have to click on the app put in the CCS adapter if you have a Chademo , plug in the CCS plug and touch start charging on the app within about 30 seconds when it is working.

Yes we have been discussing the fact that the more dense and the better cooling to the battery pack introduces difficulties repairing it.
For example a Leaf battery that has no liquid cooling can be removed in about 1 hr.
very interesting that the Chinese are prolly ahead already.

Heaps of other vehicle components have coolant running through them for temperature regulation, it shouldn't make the batteries much harder to remove unless the draining process and hose connections are badly designed/placed.

Anything that stops the US driven car bloat is a good thing.
Rams and Chevs and Fords 150 are for rich bogans but some new standard Fords are wider than Land Cruisers.
A lot of the bloat of Chinese cars is Chinese-led for the same range anxiety reasons (reasonable or not) as everywhere else in the world.

Rams/Silverados/F150's have a place in the market if you're towing heavy things, but if you see them in the cities 90% of the times it's just poseurs making up for something.

Bleeding the batteries on MB EQ vehicles is pretty straight forward. All plugs and pipes are very accessible. We find getting the battery in just the right position using the genuine tools to lower it, raise it and swap the new one in and out of the packaging is 1 of the biggest hurdles. The fear of something going wrong and 1 falling is also a worry.
Our work spent close to $18000 just on tooling to lower, raise and place the battery into the vehicles which we will never make back unless we have giant sized recall on them.
