ok, I've noticed a lot of people are just posting links to videos, not embedding them.
embedding them looks more professional and easier for your prospective audience, because thy don't have to navigate away from the page.
-- WHAT IS EMBEDDING A VIDEO? --
Embedding a video embeds the video and its player in the page, so you do not need to navigate away. Some websites such as Youtube allow full HD embedding, where as others such as Vimeo you must be a Plus member and select it. If you cant embed in HD, you should embed it anyway, and then put a link below.
embedding a video makes it look like this:
[video=youtube;BZy105010SI]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZy105010SI&feature=channel[/video]
or this
[video=vimeo;11010321]http://www.vimeo.com/11010321[/video]
-- HOW TO EMBED YOUR VIDEO --
ok, so now you have made your amazing video, how do you embed it?
when you make a new post, up the top in the bar, near the hyper link button, between the "quote" button and the "embed picture" button, you'll see a little piece of a video tag -
just like that.
This will bring up a dialogue that says:
your URL should ook something like this:
http://www.vimeo.com/11180175
or this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzRH3iTQPrk&feature=related
apparently supported videos for vBulletin 4.0.3 include:
* Hulu
* YouTube
* Vimeo
* Dailymotion
* Metacafe
* Google
* facebook
or, you can just place the
[/video]
[video]
tags around the link in the other order.
!!!REMEMBER!!! ALWAYS test your video once you post it to make sure it works...
