Fitness Brain Technology who else hates this

Any one else have a fitness bike with the Fitness Brain Technology.
200ks ago I bought a Specialized Crosstrail Sport and already I hate the fork, has about 20mms of travel and never turns on when needed and is rough as guts.
Spoke to the bike shop about how disappointed I am with the bike and am going to replace the fork with a Rockshox fork with 80mms of travel.
I bought the bike for its 2 x 9 gears, the light frame and the Fitness Fork and have never been more disappointed with a bike.
I've seen some of the top end MB's use the technology and the riders seem to love it but for me and my new Fitness bike I hate it.

Unfortunately your a victim of economy. essentially the fork you have has no similarities to something like a SID brain, pretty much every fork on a sub grand bike isn't really that impressive.
this can be observed in the retail price of a good fork is around the price of your complete bike.
as aside point did you not get the opportunity to test ride the bike before purchase?

I have a 2012 Epic Expert carbon MTB bike and love the brain rear shock (when its working) but not its reliability and cost of routine maintenance.

The front (reba) brain fork however is rubbish. Its hard to adjust to give acceptable compliance when needed (it is either on or off) and still offer platform when needed, and like the rear requires Specialised authorised service centre to do damper service. I've subsequently replaced it with a F34.

And that's on a $7000 bike.

I can't begin to imagine the compromises Spesh has made to fit one onto a sub $1K bike.

Your fork also is coil sprung so you might want to check if it is suitable for your weight in determining the cause of poor travel.

Similarly if you replace it with another sprung fork, you may end up in the same place.

The dealer where I purchased the bike is now telling me the fork came with 3 springs for different setting and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't fit any.
The fix is I've ordered a Rock Shox Paragon Gold fork to replace the now clunking sounding fork.
