Five Ten replacement laces...

fairly insignificant question; however does anyone have a recommendation for replacement 5:10 laces? Standard running shoe laces; hiking boot laces?

Paracord, get enough for 10 shoes in a roll for the same price as you'd pay for real laces.

If it's a pre-2014 model Five-Ten, then it should fit most standard laces.
The range after 2014 (with the exception of the Boa Kestrels) widened the spacing between lacing holes to achieve a better bracing angle, so they're only compatible with boost laces now. Should be available from most retailers and in most colours these days, even some aftermarket models floating around.

Ok, so basically nothing better about the laces in 5:10 shoes compared to your $3 Ebay jobbies! Just ordered a pair which I will put through extensive testing before installation! I dread to think what may happen if I have a shoelace malfunction diring a jump etc...!

Lock laces... Quick to get on and off and no flappy bits to get caught in shit.

I don't like elastic laces. used them for years when I was doing triathlon in a previous lifetime. I like my shoes to be laced up fairly snug!
