Flat Bars or Bars with 2' Risers??

Does anyone know what the benefits of flat DH bars verses the bars with 2" risers, reasons? tech?, the look?, or the feel?? Any thoughts? As I am looking at changing my handlebars. Are there any past threads on this?

lower bars put more weight on the front wheel = better cornering
higher bars shift weight backwards = less likely to be thrown over the bars

just changed my bars to low risers and the bile handles so much better and my riding got faster due to being able to move further forward more easily.
it all depends on frame geometry, fork size and frame size. experiment!!!
