Happy to recommend this one (at least the 109 km version!). Spectacular scenery, most non-technical riding (though the down hill run from Willow Springs to the Arkaroola Road; and Red Hill...will catch the unwary in places), lots of open space...and just so much pedalling. The last 15km up Wilcolo to the finish line will hurt anyone....

Good to do with evenly matched mates but happy enough on your own. Only downside for me was the total absence of post race community which had as much to do with my solo, out of town, knowing no-one situation as it did with the organisers efforts otherwise.

I wasn't there for 2014 but I think this may have had something to do with the weather.
Really depends on the number of entrants/campers at the Wilpena Pound park.
In 2013 plenty made it a longer camping trip.
