Formula One world championship

William's will always pay as little as possible for a driver, one with experience and cheap will be up their ally. Though Grosjean and Maldonado at Lotus could be a pairing for a fair few upsets if they get the car together for them. If those two pair up get ready for some fun picks or bets...

With the weight issue, they should use a height/weight ratio each GP for the drivers. This would require weights to be taken each day of a GP weekend though.

How does that work?

+1 how does that work.

I think we understand what you are saying essentially use a bmi sort of concept. But races are not scaled to each cars weight and power package so in theory it would mean drivers all have the same ratio of height and weight that doesn't help the overall weight of the package and therefore the fight for lighter and shorter drivers will continue.

I may not be looking at it as you intended but that's what I gathered.
Interested to hear your concept though.

Looked like Webber probably had the better strategy in the end, he just lost way too much in the first lap.
And his car died...

Kimi's dummy spits were pretty amusing although there was no need for him to run Grosjean off the road.

"Get out of the f***ing way Kimi!"

"Dont, f***ing shout at me!"

Then cracking the shits, pitting at the end and smashing the fastest lap at the end just for the hell of it was pretty funny. I don't think it really spoiled Red Bull's party though...

Kimi, that was funny. The broadcasters do quite well with him as I've never actually heard an exchange between him and his pit that doesn't involve Kimi sighing and basically telling them to fuck off.
I don't think Kimi was doing anything too bad to Grosjean, his tyres were past there used by date but both drivers braked way late for that turn. Whatever the case, there is nothing that a driver can do to that French prick that would make me like him, the fuckwit deserves and harsh dealing he gets.
So Seb's done it again and done it pretty convincingly. The guy deserves it and has done so well in his short career. His $40,000 fine for not going to parc ferme was worth it as that was the best celebration we've seen for a long time. The bow to the car was very cool I thought.
The scariest part of the event? That horde of people that swarmed to the fence when Webber got "Red Bulled". That was an Indian train carriage full of people fighting over his gloves, that was fucking crazy! But very funny..............
What's your pick for the last three races? I reckon Vettel will win all three and equal Schumacher's thirteen in season record. He likes the numbers.

Agreed. Nobody else has that much to fight for and the constructors are all looking at next season so it should be a walk in the park for Vettel. It would be nice to see Webber get one last victory but his driving has been pretty uninspiring all season and his motivation seems somewhat lacking so I doubt he'll provide a challenge.

It'll be interesting to see the battle for second place though. There's not much separating Kimi and Alonso and both drivers will be keen to assert themselves in front of Ferrari team management for next season. Likewise there's bugger all separating Ferrari and Mercedes in the constructors and Lotus aren't too far behind either with a lot of promise shown by Dozer's favourite driver.

There's still signs of life in the season yet...

I think Webber will be hoping just to finish the next three races with the run hes had at the moment. How is it he gets told to stop immediately when Vettel gets to run out the race just without using any unnecessary electronics, when they have the same fault? I am really starting to get a bit skeptical about the way RedBull is running things...

Jesus H Christ, will you people stop with the conspiracy theories. If you think about them like a grown adult for more than half a second you'd realise they are all complete hysterical bollocks!

Webber was more than likely told to stop as there would have been imminent danger of something catastrophic happen (like him setting the car on fire for the 3rd time in 4 races) Vettel obviously didn't have as pressing an issue or else they would have told him to stop as well. It would have made bugger all difference to the championship if they had as Alonso's poor form had won them it regardless!

precisely. you don't win the constructors championship by sabotaging your own car.

Webber's result doesn't mean too much to Red Bull. If it isn't first, it's as good as last. To run Vettel with an iffy alternator would be worth the risk as he's leading, he's about to clinch a driver and constructors title and that exposure would earn enough reward and cash to cover the cost of a burnt Grand Prix car in the event that it happened. Or the wheel fell off a few times. Or it ran out of fuel. Or it caught fire. Or it started badly every race. Or it just ran each weekend without motivation.
If Vettel wins and Webber retires, it still keeps Red Bull in the headlines and whatever the headline, it still keeps Red Bull in the headlines. Ultimately, that is the point of their existence; to advertise their brand and make someone rich.

Update: I've just tried to decipher an official release from the Massa camp written in Spanish or Brazilian or Tasmanian that says the Williams deal is done. Oh Christ, that means Maldonado and Grosjean will be the likely Lotus drivers...........bullbars will look stupid on F1 cars. Hopefully Hulkenberg stays with an improving Sauber and they regain that 2012 form.

What's it say. I can speak a little bit of Portuguese if that helps. (admittedly it was taught to me by Africans so to a Brazillian or Portuguese person I probably sound like a Nigerian speaking English. Also most of my grammar involves the purchasing and consumption of alcohol)

As I said, it's only rumour......he's said that once both championships were wrapped up, he'd bugger off so he can start testing his new chariot.

That said, i'd find it VERY hard to believe that RBR would just let him leave with 3 races to go. There's no way they're going to run one car and moving Dan in is not something they can just do at the drop of a hat. That car is built around him.

Red Bull still have a reserve driver which I think is still Sebastian Buemi, so there's no issue there. If anyone were to have a problem about it, it'd probably be Suisse who have a fairly big personal sponsorship deal with Webber but then I doubt they'd have any say in Red Bull's team decisions.

On the plus side. Alonso won't need to buy a new helmet for Abu Dhabi as his 1571 figure is still going to be valid!

Ahahahahahahaha, that could be your best hit yet you old chestnut. ;)

Riddle me this: Loldanado / Williams get a $35,000 fine for having another wheel come off in India as they did in Japan. Vettel gets a $36,000 fine for slipping off the clutch and not being able to point it straight after the race. Fair? One of those fines should be removed. You choose...........
