Item: 9 speed derailleur, Shimano LX or SLX, long cage
Location: Ballarat. Happy to pay for postage though
Item Condition: Working. Cosmetic damage not a problem
Reason for wanting: busted my 9sp derailleur
Price and price conditions: $30 give or take
Extra Info: Would consider Sram if offered a derailleur and shifter.

Think I have an eight speed, which works as a nine with a nine speed Shimano shifter. Alternatively, I will have a nine speed SRAM, but that requires a SRAM shifter. Won’t work with a Shimano nine speed shifter.

Thanks @moorey, the 8 speed derailleur should work just fine with my SLX 9 speed shifter. Shall message you regarding transaction details.
Indeed, I would only consider Sram with a corresponding shifter.

I'd be more concerned about the rapid rise, it puts all your years of shifting, literally, upside down.

True. For consistencies sake and my sanity it would be best to have all my bikes shifting in a predictable manner.
