Bike: A cheap-ish flat bar road bike

This was found in the 'trash room' at my old apartment building where people put things they dont want anymore.
The reason I'm putting it up here is that it is actually in very good shape and its not the cheap sort of bike that you would just throw away (still worth some money and looks like its got a new saddle on it), and I just want to make sure that it has not been stolen and 'dumped' here.
If you can tell me what brand/model of bike, colour and anything else that you can name to identify it (there is a few easy things straight off and I havent even had a good look at it or a ride of it yet) then contact me.
