Item: Looking for a new bike for my *yo son who has outgrown his 20"
Location: Geelong, Melbourne OK will pay freight for the right bike
Price range/Willing to Pay: up to 1K maybe a touch over for a ripper dualie
Extra Info: a meta HT 24/ San Quintain 24/ Laufy 24 type setup would be perfect

I have a pivot m4x frame that is looking for a new home. PM to deal.

I think I have established its the dedicated junior 26 models that will work for us but in reality were chasing a 24, we have spent a fair bit of time looking at 26" Geos on a few small bikes we been offered but its just not happening for us.

I think we should have a standing thread selling small bikes for kids. I'm on the lookout for the next step after a 24" hardtail too!

Step onto my warehouse of outdated items...

Must be tricky knowing there could be a growth spurt at any moment. One of my mate's teenagers was here the other day rummaging. He was super keen on my old 951 frame, but he will have outgrown it before Christmas.

We've got a slightly used 24" Polygon Relic hanging on the wall of the shed. I converted it to a 1x but otherwise changed nothing. So it has a stock pogo fork. The kicker is that we have two sets of wheels for it. The ones it came with and the custom set I had made by XLR8 Wheels. Novatec convertible hubs (so they run QR, 15 and 20 thru axle and bolted axle etc..all of which I have), Spank rims and Sapim spokes. Hubs and rims are red. Rims carry Holy Rollers. If there's any interest then I'm all ears since the kid that rode it just a few years ago is approaching 2 metres tall....

Oh and I've a small/medium carbon 26" frame from Cycling Deal that comes free if anyone wants a Manitou fork and some XLR8 made Novatec/Mavic wheels...

Are you in the FB group "kids MTB - chat, buy and sell Australia"?
There have been some fancy junior specific bikes listed from time to time.

Yep its killer. This is for my Son who seems to be a slow steady grower so not tooo bad.
My youngest daughter is a pain her last helmet lasted less than a month before she outgrew it.....

I'm also coming in to the 24" to 26"/27.5" zone.
Currently searching for a 26" hardtail and 27.5" hardtail for my nieces who have just grown out of 24" bikes as well.

I've also got a couple of small BYK bikes to get rid of as well, possibly 12" & 16".

I'd be keen on a kids bike thread

Picked up this bad boy locally for $400.
A little heavy, a few scuffs, but mechanically fine.
couldn't say no for $400
