I have a tawdry looking E4 caliper of unknown history you use to salvage pistons from if you like?
Thanks Doc, will keep that in mind. I realised that I'd need one of their piston cap removal tools too ... and probably a seal kit for good measure. So if I'm ordering those from overseas and waiting then I may as well just buy a couple of pistons in the same order.

Then I got thinking maybe I'll get a whole new end ($360) or maybe I'll move this setup plus an X2 caliper on the rear to my hardtail and buy a new brakeset for the Ripley (TRP, Magura, Hope Tech 4, Hayes) ($700+). Silly thoughts.

Lesson to be learned kids ... don't use easily within reach bottom bracket lockring tools to lever pistons!

I think a run is in order to punish myself (and the dog) for my misadventure.

I've got a set of E4s I'm thinking about moving on, F&R in black with a brand new set of Race Matrix Pads.
