Fox Grip damper - rebound knob seized.

Anyone got these little feckers loose…? Got the damper out and made a clamp from pine blocks to hold the shaft, but no joy on getting fhe end piece undone to get into the detent ball etc…

Had red Loctite on its, so a judicious bit of heat got it off.

Seems to be a bit of a design fault with these dampers - no seal and water gets in.

I have a rusty detent ball now that needs replacing

Just a note, if you don't use grease and loctite... You too could end up like Lance....

Pretty cheap on AliExp for what looks to be a decent one but I've only ever needed a 10mm and the random piece of scrap wood has done the job so far.
