Item: Giant Anthem SX 27.5 2015 Large
Location: Glebe / Earlwood
Item Condition: Used but excellent
Reason for selling: Not getting the love it deserves
Price and price conditions: $2400
Extra Info:
This bike was bought new in 2015 and used very sparingly, I'd venture to say less than on average once per month. I upgraded to a Santa Cruz in mid-2016 and it has been stored in the garage as a spare bike. It is in excellent condition with minimal scratches etc as it just hasn't been thrashed on a regular basis.
On top of this, it has been upgraded to a mixture of brand new XT M8000 and XTR components at a cost of over $1000, which have had even lesser use - a handful of rides at best. I was always fastidious about cleaning it after each ride and suffice to say, the presentation shows. These are the upgrades on top of the base componentry
XTR Shifter
XTM8000 Brakeset
XTM8000 11sp Crankset
XTM8000 chainring
XTM8000 11 speed shifter
XTM8000 11 speed rear derailleur
XTRM9000 Cassette & chain
Sizing is L and I am 6'2" (190cms) and it was very roomy. There are no existing mechanical issues and it was a joy to ride, which is why I have kept it so long. I can't remember even an annoying noise or squeak when it was used. It excelled as an all-rounder, from gnarly downhill to long exploratory rides. Essentially it's an Anthem with burlier suspension and 120mm travel up front.
Please note there are no pedals provided with this purchase. I would prefer pickup but have a bike box so could ship this with careful packaging.
