One of my mates needed a cheap ultrasonic to clean up an old carby. They didn't want to pay ultrasonic money, so bought a $20 orbital sander and went full-bodge on it... 😂

Bought some of this reflective tape to light up the defective bollards along my commute. My council gives zero fucks about riders seeing bollards in the dark. Slight hack with said tape for commuters. Fold it over and wrap it around your spokes like a flag.

Its still in its trail stage. No dramas yet.

As @dkselw posted, sticking little squares of it to your rims will also light up like light hoops at night. Some commuter tyres have a reflective strip on the sidewalls. There are also LED kits you can get to turn your wheels into a psychedelic light show at night.
I'm a big fan of the neoprene ankle bands covered in reflective paint that are cheaply available on Ali, eBay, Amazon etc... They show up like beacons when a light is shone in their direction - and because they wrap all the way around your lower leg - virtually every angle is covered.
It apparently looks like two torches furiously pumping up and down - at 90-100ish RPM, or however fast your legs can spin the pedals.
