hays hydro cables ?

i want to put a rear on the front and was wondering if i need to buy a new cable or can i just cut it shorter ?
also what brake fluids can i use do i have to buy hays ? or can i use the same stuff in cars and motos ?

Same as cars just make sure it's DOT 3 or 4. As for the cable it depends on which type it is (eg: a G2 caliper hose has a permanant crimp on it and cannot be cut to length)

im pretty sure i saw in a book somewhere hayes hoses can be cut down to length

Do you mean hydraulic lines? Or are you referring to the older Hayes hydros which actually used a metal brake cable?

I had to work on a set of mechanical hydros once, they were fucked, no spare parts or service manuals available for them, told the bloke to throw 'em away and get new brakes...

the levers are designed to be swapped from side to side.
unless one is bent, they'll be fine.

sweet. i think it is a little bent but nothing a set of multi's shouldn't be able to fix
