Hip pack suggestions?

HamboCairns

Thanks for all the bananas
I'm looking at a new hip pack instead of a full pack. I don't do all day rides and I want as much airflow as possible around my back.

My three shortlisted ones are -

Camelbak Repak 1.5l

Osprey Seral 1.5l

EVOC Hip Pack Pro 3l
https://www.mtbdirect.com.au/evoc-hip-pack-pro-3l-1.5l-bladder-hydration-pack

The first two are under $100, the latter being $165 but seems to be the most highly regarded. Does anyone else own one and can give a recommendation?

Third vote for the Henty. The harness weighs SFA and you don't feel it, plusit does give more options for storage if you really need it.
I picked up a gen 1 really cheap on ebay, and have seen a few of the gen 2 on there at pretty reasonable prices. Storage layout is sensible (from looks the gen 2 irons out most of the small changes I'd like with mine) and amble, bladder is good and you can barely tell you are wearing the thing while riding. I'll generally be carrying about 800ml of water, multi-tool, chain breaker, tube, CO2 canister x 2 and valve, 2 x tyre lever, phone and keys, 2-3 bars/gels/whatever and much prefer it to my Camelbak.

I was a bit concerned that I only felt it was comfortable due to many years of wearing webbing, so its nice to read that others rate the pack as well :)

Sorry to sound like a fanboi but Henty again.
I was using a Kathmandu runners one and it was fine until I tried Henty.

The only benefit hip bags have is that you can reach into it by just spinning it around your waist.

For comfort, capacity, security and all round general use the Henty wins in my view.

Actually, I rate the Bontrager Rapid as well...have had great use from one for a few years now. I like the convenient water bottle carry capabilities.

The Henty is full harness...might as well wear a backpack.
It's not the same, the weight is carried low around the lower back / hips. One only feels weight at the top when you decide to pack those mesh pockets, and even then it's still biased to the base.

Bontrager pack is nice though, a mate has one and rates it. A little compact though.
