For some reason crc and merlin don't stock this but it is required to install a 30mm hope bottom bracket which is required to run hope cranks. I'll be fucked if i am paying twice the cost of the product for shipping.

I have two standard Hope BBs, yeah... the BB tool required is the same as a Shimano threaded BB, no?
I have a Park Tool BBT-9 which is perfect.

Is the 30mm Hope BB just internal size to suit the Hope crank, with the outside remaining the same as the standard 24mm version?

EDIT: NAAAAAAHHHP, turns out you need Hope's BB tool. The whole thing is larger...

Yeah, seems the 30mm bb required for the hope crankset requires a special tool.

Seems ridiculous.
