Just to throw a few useless numbers around:
My brothers Battaglin weighs just on 8kg's, and my Klein is 10.2kg. Both are roadies.
My Zaskar Race is 10.8kg, and my rigid singlespeed is 11.2kg.
Figures like that make a 17kg tank of a bike feel even heavier again :(

i don't want to weigh my bike...even though i suspect it's high teens kg-wise....then when i'm struggling up a hill i can blame my fitness not the weight of the bike and hence get much fitter if i ever feel like xc racing or something.....hmmm....mindgames....some however would call it mindless drivel..you decide

I've just upgraded to carbon post and egg beater pedals and shaved mine down to just under 10kgs (not sure how accurate my scales are though)

:D

It's a Raceline Expert with a few upgrades...

i thought my bike has heavy! wow a lot of these bike over 15 kg's. mines a HT but still. yeah so i've XC/DJ style forks (light :)) but i thought u know 15 kgs was generally how much a squishy would weigh. well i guess my fitness is pretty crap as i struggle up hills an all. and the geometry aint right. but yeah bikes getting close to 20kgs i thought would have to solid steels and stuff! my thoughts about bike weight have changed lots
