Whenever I try to make some new fresh dirt jumps they always fall apart up the top. I have a hard time trying to compact the dirt up near the lip of the jump. Anyone have any tips how??

Whenever I try to make some new fresh dirt jumps they always fall apart up the top. I have a hard time trying to compact the dirt up near the lip of the jump. Anyone have any tips how??

Water when you build, water before you ride & water during your ride. If this doesn't work you are using the wrong dirt. Also try to make your lips as thick as you can so they hold more..... (you guessed it) water.

The master got in quick, and he is right.

Next thing you can try (in addition to watering) is covering the lips (and possibly chaining the line) when you are not riding.

I have also heard of people mixing the lips with a little bit of concrete.
never done this myself, but apparently it works well
