Yeah, I hate to say it but our healthcare is really hit & miss...and it's not keeping up.
Having a baby? ...or need an ambulance and a bit of quick ER patch-up? No worries.
But need a specialist or a non-standard scan?....you're screwed. No options. No specialists.
And if you pay for private hospital, you still end up in the public system anyway.
Public transport? Completely laughable in Launceston. I reckon Syria has a more reliable bus service. (Can't speak for Hobart).
Don't get me wrong - I'm a big fan of our tourism growth (especially the mtn bike boom) and I welcome everyone visiting to ride & tour in Tas (despite my tongue-in-cheek comments on other threads
) The tourism growth is a good thing on many levels.
But I think there is a risk that greed & dumb growth could ruin the very essence of what makes Tasmania, Tasmania.
