I also built my wife a bowling ball...

Well, actually I bought the frame for a girl in the kids skills sessions I run, but dad got cold feet.
Viola! A bike for the wife that the kids will ride more often.
Frame: 2011(?) Superlight.
Shock: 190mm factory CTD (not the 200mm it is spec’d for.
Fork: Revelation RCT3, currently 140mm. (Sometimes it runs 120mm Sid team).
Wheels: Black Flag pro, 2.2 Schwalbe Evo Rocket Ron.
Drivetrain: XT 1x10, but SRAM GX cranks.
Brakes: XT m785
Dropper: KS 125mm non remote.
Seat: Something soft and bigger.
Bars: carbon monkey lite 650ish.

When it’s going on the camper trailer, it runs the 190mm shock and 140 revs (trailer has 15mm axle mounts), when it its mainly around home, the 200mm and Sids. It rides a lot nicer with the slacker HA and revs, but it’s a bit much stress on it to run it always.

Wife loves it. Has even ridden it a couple of times. That’s better going than other bowling balls I’ve built her in the past.

So this isn't the look you got when you built it then?

Well done!
