In City Down Hill

V8 SuperCars in Sydney gives me the idea having in the city downhill course.

Pick a reasonably vertical section of the city (any city in the world), cordon off places to make a track.

Add a few jumps, hoops and you got a DH course...

of course, council willing and council approved.

Much sponsorship from LBSs could roll the first CityDH track and Australia leads the world again!

Urban downhill races have been going on for years mate. But, great idea, just about a decade too late ; )

This one is from a while ago - that's one brave dog at 30s! Love the second half of the track with that huge berm and that offset jump

I've proposed to fund and stage an event like this and got laughed at. Even when I said I can guarantee over 100 people buying a motel bed in the region and those people shopping in the region I was still laughed at. Shame, it would work so well and only be a positive for the region that I wanted to stage it.........unless someone was badly injured or even died on the gnarly course. ;)

I like the idea but then the tracks aren't well cordoned off and people and animals can stray and cause accidents...

Still, a 4km run will be awesome.
